"They had been corrupted by money, and he had been corrupted by sentiment. Sentiment was the more dangerous, because you couldn't name its price. A man open to bribes was to be relied upon below a certain figure, but sentiment might uncoil in the heart at a name, a photograph, even a smell remembered."
Graham Greene
BLASPHEMY:
Once every couple of months we go back and read old Electric Degeneration episodes and get all teary eyed and sentimental. There's some good writing in there from time to time, almost hidden by the incessant typos, but more than the good turn of a phrase is the emotion that's crammed into occasional episodes. Electric Degenerate Paul mentioned this at the High Museum the other day.
"I've really enjoyed it. I feel like I'm..."
"Like you're right there? Like you're a part of it?"
"Yeah!"
Nice to know somebody reads this stuff. However, I never intended this to be a lonely effort, me pouring my heart and soul out to you bunch of slackers. I INTEND this to be a consolodation of thought, a group effort where anyone can contribute. I realize this has not been made plain.
I NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, YOU too. If nothing else, let us know what's fun to do in the near future. Prophesy can only become reality if there's a witness!
Speaking of, we've shortened the weekly redundant entries in the Prophesy section after a few complaints and review of past episodes. If you need details on any listed event, like time, direction, and/or cost, please feel free to contact us!
