"Pale rain over the dwindling harbour
And over the sea wet church the size of a snail
With its horns through mist and the castle
Brown as owls
But all the gardens
Of spring and summer were blooming in the tall tales
Beyond the border and under the lark full cloud.
There could I marvel
My birthday
Away but the weather turned around."
Dylan Thomas, from A refusal to mourn the death, by fire, of a child in London.
Thursday the reporters of Degenerate Press checked out the surrealist films showing at Georgia State with live music performed by a dozen or so local musicians. This is the third film I've seen with live accompaniment and I must say I enjoy it thoroughly. If anybody hears of this happening anywhere again let us know!
Friday many of you were at the Halloween happenings sponsored in part by Degenerate Press at degenerate AA place to celebrate your editor's 30th birthday. I'd like to thank everyone for attending, and special thanks to degenerate VP and AA for organizing and hosting the insanely ego-boosting gala. I don't really like to be the center of attention, despite what you might think. I prefer to be the off-center of attention. However, it was quite a blast. Again, thank you all!
