EAR PLUGS:
Sorry for the lack of content lately. It ain't that we ain't been out much, just that we ain't writin' it down after. But here's what I CAN remember:
Saw the Truckadelic show at the Otherside, composed of Who's Who At The Star Bar. Damn good chicken fried rocks.
Lucky and the Hot Dice opened the Star Bar Saturday night. Dressed in archetypal rockabilly fashion but the reverb gave 'em away - weird pop-like undertoned rockabilly. The high point for me was the "Love will tear us apart" 80's tune cover. The crowd didn't like it as much as I did. Kingsized followed, as did a capacity mass. We hid downstairs until we could fit in the back and enjoy the show - as always, WHAT A SHOW. These guys just keep getting better, just when you think it CAN'T get any better.
The new improved Dotties (thanks for the quote, Greg) didn't help the Tuesday night band, who's name I never found out, fortunately for them. I was suprised they started so late on a school night, but then I remembered high school's out for summer.
