TELEVISION, THE DRUG OF THE NATION
Degenerate SW and I have been Friends fans for a while. I tend to get bored
with the show faster than she, and this season has hit an all time low. Ive
always had a hard time suspending my disbelief for that show. The characters
never date anyone outside the circle of friends for more than a few episodes,
nobody ever seems to work, nobody moves away, and nobody is ugly (except the
naked guy across the street we never saw) or fat (except Monica in flashback
scenes in a fat suit, and only as humor.)
But this seasons believability factor has deteriorated to the point where
I dont even want to watch. Its funny, but eMpTyVs The Osbournes
is more believable. Sure, its reality TV so its supposed
to be believable, but how believable is it that a burnt out oaf like Ozzie continues
to be a celebrity? The show has priceless gems, like Ozzie dealing with his
dog training troubles, whining Im not picking up any more turds.
Im a rock star. Hes the Homer Simpson of rock and roll, with
his wife taking the Lisa Simpson role and both kids as Bart figures. Its
funny to see that such wealth and fame doesnt change the way a family
interacts one bit, they just have a bigger house and cooler toys.
If only Friends could be this real.
And funny.
