HOT THESPIAN ACTION
Due to an overdose as a child, I can't tolerate theatre much but if
it's part Rocky Horror, part Ziggy Stardust, part puppet show and
part rock opera I can be talked into entering an auditorium on
occasion. Discount tickets help too and thanks to degenerate LH, we
scored some cheap tickets to Actor's Express' production of Hedwig
and the Angry Inch.
If you've seen the film, go see the play. It's another thing
entirely. If you haven't seen the film, go see the play and skip the
film entirely. I can't say enough about it, and I don't want to give
anything away. Suffice it to say, you are unlikely to ever hear me
recommend a theatre production again.
Hedwig plays at Actor's Express through the 16th, thanks to a couple
of extensions and continued sold-out crowds. Catch it while you can!
